Dr. John Phillips

John D. Phillips, M.D.

Dr. Phillips is a native of Richardson, Texas and completed his undergraduate training at Texas A&M University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He then completed a one year internship in pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and four years of residency training in ophthalmology at UAMS in Little Rock.

Dr. Phillips joined Dr. George Paddock in Jacksonville in1997 and formed Eye Physicians & Surgeons. He practices as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and treats medical and surgical conditions of the eye as well as performing routine eye exams. Special areas of interest include cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and lid surgery. Dr. Phillips welcomes you to our practice and considers it a privilege to be able to serve your eye care needs.

Dr. Ryan Friedman

Ryan B. Friedman, M.D.

Dr. Friedman is a Jacksonville native and graduate of Jacksonville High School. He completed his undergraduate training at Ouachita Baptist University. Dr. Friedman received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He then completed a 1 year internship in internal medicine and his residency training in ophthalmology at UAMS. He received the UAMS Department of Ophthalmology “Resident of the Year” award in 2011.

Dr. Friedman joined Eye Physicians and Surgeons in 2011. He practices as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and treats medical and surgical conditions of the eye as well as performing routine eye exams. Dr. Friedman is excited to have the opportunity to practice in his hometown and is looking forward to serving the eye care needs of the community.

Dr. Chev Ergle

Chevron Ergle, O.D.

Dr. Chev Ergle has been practicing Optometry for 10 years. He completed his undergraduate training at Arkansas State University. He graduated with honors from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2004. He joined the staff of doctors at Eye Physicians and Surgeons shortly thereafter. Dr. Ergle currently serves as President-Elect of the Arkansas Optometric Association. He received the Arkansas Young Optometrist of the Year award in 2008 and was recognized as the Young Optometrist of the South in 2009. Dr. Ergle is an active member in his local church and is married with two children. He considers it a pleasure to care for your eyes.
